To keep care accessible, most examinations and treatments use the third-party payer system: you only pay your personal share (co-payment), while the reimbursed portion is settled directly with your health insurance. This means you do not have to advance any payment or wait for reimbursement.
With supplementary insurance for outpatient specialist care, you first pay the full fee and then recover it later through your insurer.
