At Vision Centrum, we do everything we can to improve your care journey and offer you an appointment as quickly as possible.
Our center, located in Berchem (Antwerp), is accessible to people with reduced mobility and welcomes children from the age of 2.

📞 By phone: Our reception is available at +32 38 777 112, Monday morning and Friday morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
You will receive an automatic confirmation of your appointment by SMS or email when booking and the day before your consultation.
Prepare your visit
📝 Documents to bring:
- Identity card
- Your glasses and/or contact lenses (please do not wear them on the day of the appointment)
- Any letters or previous examinations regarding your vision
🕐 Duration: Expect to spend approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour on site.
Your journey at Vision Center
1️⃣ Reception at the front desk:
Our secretaries will check your file and administrative information.
2️⃣ Guidance by a vision care staff member:
An orthoptist, nurse, or other assistant will perform the initial examinations:
- Medical questionnaire
- Measurement of vision and glasses
- Additional tests if necessary (OCT, ocular fundus, eye pressure, topography, etc.)
3️⃣ Consultation with the ophthalmologist:
The ophthalmologist conducts a full examination, makes the diagnosis, and prescribes treatment if necessary. You will receive an explanation of the treatment options suitable for your situation.
4️⃣ Additional examinations:
If specific tests are required, we try to perform them on the same day. If not, a second appointment will be scheduled.
5️⃣ In case of surgery:
If a surgical procedure is being considered (cataract, laser, eyelids), a secretary will explain the steps and schedule a surgery date with you.
6️⃣ End of the journey – return to the front desk for:
- Payment (cash, bank card or bank transfer possible)
- Automatic processing of your certificate of care provided: you only pay the co-payment. The remainder is transferred directly to us by your health insurance fund.
- Scheduling a possible follow-up appointment
